“3rd Open Data Challenge for Public Transportation in Tokyo” Award Ceremony was held

opdThe “3rd Open Data Challenge for Public Transportation in Tokyo” Award Ceremony was held by Association for Open Data of Public Transportation chaired by Ken Sakamura, Chair of TRON Forum at INIAD Hall, Toyo University (Akabanedai, Kita city, Tokyo) on January 30, 2020. In this challenge, contestants competed for application development and ideas by using the open data concerning trains, buses and flights. During the ceremony, it was announced that “Mini Tokyo 3D” by Mr. Akihiko Kusanagi and “UpNext” by Mr. Tatsuzo Osawa won the Grand Awards. These winners were commended by Chair Sakamura. Yuriko Koike, the Governor of Tokyo also attended the ceremony and made a comment on behalf of Tokyo Metropolitan Government, one of the co-hosts of the challenge.
