IoT-Engine is a standard platform for IoT edge nodes.
It has been developed as a standard platform for IoT edge nodes based on the concept of “aggregate computing,” an IoT computing model proposed by TRON Forum.
Different manufactures have developed different IoT-Engine models, which use different microprocessors.
For small IoT edge nodes
IoT-Engine is a small microprocessor board. Its size is similar to a postage stamp. It runs μT-Kernel, which complies with the international standard for real-time operating systems for IoT edge nodes, IEEE standard 2050-2018, and has near field communication functions suitable for IoT edge nodes.
Support different microprocessors
IoT-Engines can be built using various microprocessors of different manufacturers because IoT-Engine specification does not mandate a particular microprocessor from a specific manufacturer. Its specification standardizes only the board form factor, used connectors and pin assignments.
