Five million JP YEN prizes in total: RICOH THETA x IoT Developers Contest
August 10 is the deadline for registering the intention to participate in the RICOH THETA x IoT Developers Contest held by Ricoh Company, Ltd., a B-member of TRON Forum, with the co-sponsorship of YRP Ubiquitous Networking Laboratory, an Executive Committee member of TRON Forum, and special cooperation of Institute of Infrastructure Application of Ubiquitous Computing, Interfaculty Initiative in Information Studies, Graduate School, the University of Tokyo.
This contest calls for gadgets and applications that make full use of “RICOH THETA,” RICOH’s 360-degree camera.
The final deadline to submit the contest work itself is August 31.
This year’s contest challenges developers to create innovative apps and gadgets that make full use of RICOH THETA in a cloud-based environment by using cloud API. The total prize amount is five million JP YEN, and the first-prize winner will receive one million JP YEN. Cloud API beta version and 3D model data of RICOH THETA series are provided to contestants.
