TRON Forum has published the“FY2025 Survey Report on Embedded Real-time OS Usage Trends” in its members-only web pages.

These results are based on a survey conducted at the EdgeTech+ 2025 venue (held at Pacifico Yokohama from November 19 to 21, 2025) and on a dedicated website set up for this survey. In the category “OS APIs incorporated into embedded systems,” the combined share of T-Kernel specification APIs (including μT-Kernel specification APIs, etc.) and ITRON specification APIs reached approximately 60%, securing the top market share. This means that the TRON RTOS family has occupied the topmost share for 27 consecutive years since the start of the survey.
