TRON Association to Cooperate in Holding of ESS2002 System LSI Solution Fair |
| The TRON Association will cooperate with the Japan Electronics & Information
Technology Industries Association (JEITA) in the holding of ESS2002 System LSI Solution
Fair, an embedded systems technology exhibit that will be held from Tuesday, April
14, through Thursday, April 18, at Tokyo Big Sight, and it will also give lectures
and display an exhibit. In the parallel conferences, TRON Project Leader and University
of Tokyo Prof. Ken Sakamura will give a lecture titled "Ubiquitous Computing
and TRON" in a special session (Tuesday, April 14). In addition, in technical
sessions, University of Tokyo Prof. Noboru Koshizuka will give a lecture titled "Latest
Trends in the TRON Project," and Version Up Working Group member and Toyohashi
University of Technology Prof. Hiroaki Takada and Denso Create Inc.'s Tetsuro Takagi
will give a lecture titled "Importing a Memory Protect Function into the ¦ĢITRON
Specification." In the exhibit, we will present a display on the history and
future developments of the TRON Project, and we will introduce trends in turning
TRON-related specifications into products by the member companies of the Association. For details and to register to participate, go to: http://edex-ess.jesa.or.jp/index2.html |

On the English Translation of the ITRON Debugging Interface Specification |
| At this time, we would like to inform you that the ITRON Debugging Interface Specification based on the cooperation of the Association's Next Generation Real-Time Infrastructure Group member companies has been translated into English, and was issued at the end of March 2002. The ITRON Debugging Interface Specification is a set of stand interface rules for the debugging tools (a debugger or In-Circuit Emulator [ICE]) that support real-time kernels based on the ¦ĢITRON4.0 Specification. In this specification, as a standardized approach, we do not add new functions to the kernel, but rather we adopt a unique approach in which we standardize modules that realize functions that support software debugging on a real-time kernel after embedding on the debugging tool side on top of the host. |

Japan Novel Corporation's "¦ĢITRON4.0 Evaluation System" |
| Japan Novel Corporation has developed and is marketing a "¦ĢITRON4.0 Evaluation
System" that consists of software that automatically inspects and verifies compatibility
with the ¦ĢITRON4.0 Specification. Because this software has prepared in it a test
program group that automatically executes on top of the target operating system the
functions defined in the specification, it is possible to easily check the quality
and functions of the ITRON-specification operating system. In addition, it includes
the library compatible with the "¦ĢITRON4.0 Certification Specification (Draft)"
issued by the TRON Association. Japan Novel is also marketing separately a verification
library for quality evaluation use that takes into consideration combinations of
the various functions. As a result, it is possible to clearly and at lower cost confirm
the quality and function compatibility an ITRON-specification operating system developed
in house. http://www.jnovel.co.jp/products/seg_itronTop.html For inquiries about this product, write to: sales@jnovel.co.jp |
