The T-Engine project was announced on a grand scale in the TRON Project at the
end of last year. "T-Engine" is a super development platform for efficiently
developing network information devices, such as cell-phones, car navigation systems,
and information appliances.
At the TRONSHOW that was held in December, there was a greater number of attendees
than in an ordinary year, and a very great deal of attention was attracted. This
gives evidence to the fact that demand for the development of information devices
is rising more and more as we greet in the age of "computers everywhere,"
or ubiquitous computing.
With T-Engine, by distributing lots of middleware, it is possible for a small number
of people to efficiently develop network information devices in a short period of
time. One could say that T-Engine is truly the exact solution in the age of "computers
everywhere."
This year also, we will continue to promote infrastructure technology development
in the age of "computers everywhere" centering on T-Engine. We kindly request
your support as we continue with the TRON Project.
